TOGÜ Erbaa Vocational School and Erbaa District Governor’s Office Hold July 15 Commemoration Events

The 10th Anniversary Commemoration Events for July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, organized under the coordination of the Erbaa District Governor’s Office and in cooperation with Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Erbaa Vocational School, were held between 13 and 16 July 2026.
As part of the events, the July 15 Photography Exhibition, prepared by the Directorate of Erbaa Vocational School under the theme “The Will Is Ours, the Victory Is Ours!”, was opened to the public on 14 July 2026 at Cumhuriyet Square. The exhibition presented photographs depicting the events of the night of July 15, highlighting the nation's struggle for democracy, national will, and independence.
The commemorative programme, jointly organized by the Erbaa District Governor’s Office and Erbaa Vocational School, was attended by Dr. Remzi Demir, Governor of Erbaa District; Assist. Prof. Dr. İrfan Usta, Director of Erbaa Vocational School; Ertuğrul Karagöl, Mayor of Erbaa; members of the district protocol; the academic and administrative staff of our Vocational School; and numerous citizens.
As part of the programme, Prof. Dr. Muhittin Demiray, Acting Secretary General of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, delivered a keynote speech entitled “July 15: The Manifestation of National Solidarity and the National Will.”
The commemorative programme also included a Visit to the Martyrs’ Cemetery, the March of Respect for the Martyrs, and the Democracy Vigil, all of which were held with broad public participation. Assist. Prof. Dr. İrfan Usta, together with the academic and administrative staff of our Vocational School, participated in the March of Respect for the Martyrs and the Democracy Vigil held at Cumhuriyet Square.
During the visit to the Martyrs’ Cemetery, prayers were offered in memory of the nation's martyrs. Following the March of Respect for the Martyrs, a Democracy Vigil was held at Cumhuriyet Square with the participation of District Governor Dr. Remzi Demir, Director Assist. Prof. Dr. İrfan Usta, Mayor Ertuğrul Karagöl, members of the district protocol, the staff of our Vocational School, and local citizens.
Evaluating this year’s events, organized under the theme “The Will Is Ours, the Victory Is Ours!”, Assist. Prof. Dr. İrfan Usta, Director of Erbaa Vocational School, emphasized the importance of strengthening the collective memory of July 15, fostering awareness of democracy and the national will among future generations, and preserving the spirit of national unity and solidarity. He also noted that the collaboration between the Erbaa District Governor’s Office and Erbaa Vocational School had made a significant contribution to preserving shared national values and passing them on to future generations.
The programme concluded with prayers and expressions of gratitude in memory of the nation's martyrs and appreciation for its veterans, reaffirming the enduring commitment to national unity, solidarity, and democratic values.
