10th Anniversary Commemoration Programme for July 15 in Cooperation with TOGÜ Erbaa Vocational School and the Erbaa District Governor’s Office

Under the coordination of the Erbaa District Governor’s Office and in cooperation with Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Erbaa Vocational School, a July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day Commemoration Programme will be held.
The Director of our Vocational School, Assist. Prof. Dr. İrfan Usta, together with our academic and administrative staff, will participate in the commemorative events to be organised between July 13 and 16, 2026. As part of the programme, Prof. Dr. Muhittin Demiray, Acting Secretary General of our University, will deliver a speech entitled “July 15: The Manifestation of National Solidarity and the National Will.” As part of the programme, the opening of the July 15 Photography Exhibition, prepared by our Vocational School, will take place at Cumhuriyet Square at 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.
This year’s events will be organised under the main theme “The Will Is Ours, the Victory Is Ours!” The programme aims to strengthen the place of July 15 in collective memory, reinforce the sense of national unity and solidarity, and pass on awareness of democracy, national will, and independence to future generations. It also seeks to emphasise the unity between the state and the nation, as well as Türkiye’s determination to safeguard its democratic achievements.

17.00 – Opening of the July 15 Photography Exhibition Prepared by Our Vocational School Venue: Cumhuriyet Square

12.00 - Recitation of the Holy Qur’an and Mawlid in Memory of Our Martyrs Venue: Büyük Mosque
21.00 - Visit to the Martyrs’ Cemetery
21.30 - March of Respect for the Martyrs Route: Martyrs’ Cemetery-Cumhuriyet Square
22.15 - Signing of the July 15 Memorial Book The Memorial Book will be signed by protocol members and citizens. Venue: Cumhuriyet Square
22.30 - Democracy Vigil Venue: Cumhuriyet Square
The following activities will be held as part of the Democracy Vigil:
• A moment of silence and the singing of the Turkish National Anthem,
• Recitation of the Holy Qur’an,
• Protocol speeches,
• A speech on the meaning and significance of the day by Prof. Dr. Muhittin Demiray, Acting Secretary General of our University,
• Recitation of poems reflecting the meaning and significance of the day,
• Commencement of the Democracy Vigil,
• Broadcasts reflecting the spirit of July 15 on the large screen,
• Performance of religious hymns,
• Handover of the ceremonial flag,
• Recitation of the traditional salā prayers from all mosques across the district,
• Conclusion of the programme.
