Dr. Fevzi Yahşi Ranked 2nd in the 5th TİSAMER Book Reading Competition

The conference titled “The Effects of Biographies on Personality Development and Muhammad Hamidullah” and the Award Ceremony of the 5th TİSAMER Book Reading Competition, organized by our University’s Center for Islamic Studies Application and Research (TİSAMER), was held at the National Will Hall of the July 15 Congress and Culture Center. The program was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Temür, Provincial Mufti Esat Yapıcı, deans, academicians, students, and many invited guests.
In his opening speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz emphasized that universities are not only institutions that transfer knowledge but also important centers that shape individuals’ intellectual perspectives and contribute to social development. Stating that the Book Reading Competition organized by TİSAMER significantly contributes to the dissemination of reading culture, Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz congratulated all participants and thanked everyone who contributed to the organization of the event.
As part of the program, Prof. Dr. Zekeriya Güler, faculty member at the Faculty of Theology of Istanbul 29 Mayıs University, delivered a conference titled “The Effects of Biographies on Personality Development and Muhammad Hamidullah.” During the conference, Prof. Dr. Güler addressed the role of biographies in individual character development and made important evaluations regarding the scholarly background, intellectual world, and exemplary personality of Muhammad Hamidullah.
Following the conference, the award ceremony of the 5th TİSAMER Book Reading Competition, organized to promote reading culture, was held. In the academicians category, Dr. Fevzi Yahşi from the Department of Property Protection and Security at Erbaa Vocational School achieved 2nd place with his outstanding performance. His certificate of achievement was presented by Provincial Mufti Esat Yapıcı.
Dr. Fevzi Yahşi’s achievement highlighted the active participation of academic staff in scientific and cultural activities while also contributing to the promotion of reading culture within the university community. We congratulate him and wish him continued success in his academic and professional career.
At the end of the program, awards were presented to participants who ranked in various categories, including students from the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, students from other faculties, and academic as well as administrative staff. 14.05.2026
