Green Campus, Zero Waste and Sustainability Panel Held

A panel titled “Green Campus, Zero Waste, Sustainability” was organized in our Campus Conference Hall in cooperation with Erbaa Municipality and the Zero Waste Management Coordinatorship of our University.
The panel was attended by Erbaa Deputy Mayor Elif Altıntaş Ayral, Director of our Vocational School Dr. İrfan Usta, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences in Erbaa Prof. Dr. Fatih Polat, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences in Erbaa Prof. Dr. Mehmet Demirtaş, Deputy Director Lect. Güler Uzun, as well as our academic and administrative staff and students.
The session was moderated by Dr. Esin Hande Bayrak Işık, Coordinator of Zero Waste Management at our University. The panelists were Semire Kalpakçı Yokuş, Assistant Coordinator of Zero Waste Management, Alper Günaydın, Head of Climate Change and Zero Waste Department of Erbaa Municipality, and Seyit Ahmet Erişmiş, Environmental Engineer at Erbaa Municipality.
Within the scope of the panel, comprehensive information was shared on the zero waste practices carried out on our campus, the process of obtaining the Zero Waste Certificate, and the activities conducted by Erbaa Municipality in the context of waste management and climate change.
The program concluded with the presentation of awards by Erbaa Municipality to the students who demonstrated environmentally responsible behavior in the social experiment conducted to measure waste awareness on the Erbaa Campus, followed by a group photo session. 13.02.2026
