Accreditation Visit from the MEDEK President to Our University: Evaluation of Our Accreditation Achievement

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık, Rector of Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBÜ) and Chairman of the Board of the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MEDEK), paid an official visit to our University’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz.
The visit, held at the Rectorate Office, was attended by Vice Rectors, Rector’s Advisors, our Director Dr. Öğr. Üyesi İrfan Usta, Head of the Computer Technologies Department Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Mehmet Fatih Karaca, the Secretary General, and academic staff members. During the meeting, inter-university cooperation, quality assurance processes, and the significance of accreditation in higher education were discussed.
As part of the visit, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık expressed his satisfaction in presenting the accreditation certificates for 15 academic programs of our University that were accredited by MEDEK. He emphasized that this achievement represents a concrete indicator of the quality of education and training offered by the University.
In his remarks, our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz underlined that accreditation processes constitute a fundamental component of the University’s institutional vision and stated:
“Previously, 10 of our programs had been accredited. Today, we are pleased to have increased this number to 25. In addition to program accreditation, our University’s institutional accreditation clearly demonstrates the importance we attach to quality assurance. We will continue our efforts with determination in line with a sustainable quality approach in education and training.”
Following the meeting, appreciation was extended to the academic and administrative staff who contributed to the accreditation process. The achievement was celebrated with a cake-cutting ceremony.
