3+1 Education Model and Employment Opportunities Discussed with Erbaa Chamber of Commerce and Industry by the Department of Marketing and Advertising

Within the scope of the “Vocational Schools Education Cooperation Protocol” signed between the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) with the aim of contributing to the development of a qualified workforce aligned with the needs of the country, Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Serhat Bekar and Lect. Kamil Alacalı from the Department of Marketing and Advertising of our Vocational School paid a visit to Mr. Murat Selçuk, Member of the Board of Directors of the Erbaa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the visit, discussions focused on aligning the educational activities carried out within the Department of Marketing and Advertising more closely with current sectoral needs, enabling students to benefit more effectively from practical training opportunities, and increasing post-graduation employment prospects. In this context, evaluations were conducted on the coordinated implementation of the Applied 3+1 Education Model, internship programs, and workplace training processes in collaboration with the Erbaa Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Additionally, active cooperation in student selection, placement, monitoring, and evaluation processes was addressed.

It is anticipated that the processes to be carried out within the framework of this protocol will significantly contribute to strengthening university–industry collaboration, meeting the demand for a qualified workforce, and enhancing the employability of our graduates. We extend our appreciation to Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz and Director Dr. Öğr. Üyesi İrfan Usta for their support in ensuring the effective and sustainable implementation of this process.
