TEKNOFEST Competition Promotion Meeting Held on Our Campus

The information meeting organized to promote the competitions held within the scope of TEKNOFEST, one of Türkiye’s largest technology and innovation organizations, was held on our campus with the strong participation of Vice Director Öğr. Gör. Güler Uzun, our students, and academic staff.
Organized by TEKNOFEST and Competitions Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Levent Gökrem and Deputy Coordinator Assist. Prof. Serhat Bilgin, the meeting provided detailed information on the scope of TEKNOFEST competitions, the 2026 application process, project development stages, and opportunities offered to participants. The event also featured presentations by Furkan Çetinkaya, T3 Foundation Tokat Provincial Representative, and members of the Protecta360 team, who won the Best Commercialization Potential Award and second place in the Smart Transportation Category at the 2025 TEKNOFEST. Presentations were delivered by Electrical and Electronics Engineering students Ahmet Zeki Aksoy, Emir Işık, Ömer Faruk Polat, and Mechanical Engineering student Muhammed Talha Kartal, highlighting successful projects from previous years and emphasizing TEKNOFEST’s role in encouraging young people to produce technology.
During the event, academic, technical, and entrepreneurial opportunities offered by competitions in fields such as defense industry, artificial intelligence, software, energy, biotechnology, and space technologies were discussed. Information was also shared regarding the financial and institutional support provided by our University and the T3 Foundation. Emphasizing the importance of academic supervision, speakers stated that students would receive full support to develop their projects scientifically and technically. The meeting continued with a Q&A session, underlining the significance of interdisciplinary collaboration, teamwork, and sustainable project development.
At the end of the meeting, certificates of appreciation were presented to Assist. Prof. Mehmet Fatih Karaca, Assist. Prof. Mehmet Akif Erişen, and Assist. Prof. Sultan Güner Başara, who served as jury members representing our University in TEKNOFEST competitions, followed by a group photo session. The event concluded with thanks to the TEKNOFEST and Competitions Coordination Unit, the TEKNOFEST team, academic staff, and students, reaffirming the growing interest in technology- and innovation-oriented activities on our campus.
