On December 18, 2025, an informational seminar highlighting the importance of blood donation was held at our school by officials from the Tokat Provincial Red Crescent Blood Donation Center. The seminar was attended by our Deputy Director, Lect. Güler Uzun, along with students and academic staff, and emphasized the vital role of blood donation in saving human lives.
During the seminar, expert speakers underscored that regular and voluntary blood donation is a critical necessity for the healthcare system. Comprehensive information was provided regarding the blood donation process, eligibility criteria for donors, and the contributions of blood donation to public health. In addition, several commonly held misconceptions about blood donation were clarified within a scientific and accessible framework.
The event, which was followed with great interest by participants, highlighted that blood donation not only benefits patients in need but also has positive effects on the health of donors. At the conclusion of the program, students’ questions were addressed, with the aim of increasing awareness and understanding of blood donation.
Furthermore, officials from the Tokat Provincial Red Crescent Blood Donation Center invited all students, academic staff, and administrative personnel to participate in the blood donation campaign to be held at the entrance floor of our school on December 17–18, 2025.
