Second-year students of the Accounting Department at our Vocational School visited the Erbaa Branch of the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) in order to contribute to their professional development and career planning. The visit was carried out with the participation of Assist. Prof. Dr. F. Ferit Yazar and Lect. Ömer Erol. During the visit, students were provided with comprehensive information about İŞKUR’s institutional structure, duties and responsibilities, active and passive labor market policies, as well as the employment and vocational support programs offered by the institution.
Within the scope of the visit, students had the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge about job search processes, job and career counseling services, internship and job placement opportunities, and the functioning of publicly supported employment programs. In addition, information shared on occupations in demand within the labor market and current employment trends contributed to students’ ability to shape their post-graduation career goals in a more informed and conscious manner.
Thanks to this visit, students were able to observe the practical applications of the theoretical knowledge acquired in their courses, while also gaining a closer understanding of the relationship between public institutions and the business world. In this respect, the event is considered an important achievement in enhancing students’ professional awareness, strengthening their career consciousness, and preparing them more effectively for employment processes. 16.12.2025
